Ophelia Hawthorne

It was a slow day in the little café of downtown San Francisco, only two or three people seated around the quaint little room as they either silently drank their tea or typed on their laptop to check their social media site. Of course this was not that slow of a day considering a busy one for the shop was five or six people filtering in or out. Still this left the petite female who was perched at the counter rather bored, her bright red eyes scanning the room to see if there was anything else she could do to keep her day moving. Everyone looked as though they were attended to or quite content in their position though so she simply left them alone and spun on her heel to go and get herself a cup of winter dream tea which had recently come in for the icy season to warm her chilled body. Ophelia took some heated water from a kettle and poured it into a nice porcelain cup, placing the bag of tea leaves in the hot liquid right after and allowing the brown color to overtake the once clear liquid while she sat at the counter and to wait for a new customer to wander inside.

Today Ophelia had let her usually devious demeanor slip and a more fitting one take over, an aura of happiness and comfort over wrapping around her body as she slowly rose the cup to her pale lips and took a sip of the warm liquid. She had her long, pale locks pulled up into a loose ponytail at the crown of her head, her hair poofed out at the top and the strands messy to give her a more relaxed look. Only a single hair hung in her face, dancing around her bright red hues that were trained on nothing in the room; the color stood out immensely behind the obsidian lashes that were outlined with a coal black eye liner. Still nothing seemed to catch her attention so she pulled her music player out from the pocket to her apron and put one of the ear buds in her ear before pressing shuffle on the device so a tune could envelope her thoughts. Right away a familiar tune began to dance through her head, a small smile returning to ghost over her lips as she hummed along.

Luna bit her lip as she walked down he busy street in california. The day was so hot that she could feel her tanned legs begin to sweat. She needed to find the cafe fast. She quickened her pace as the sun beat down on her even more. She needed to find the woman who had the link road to the fang.

The pledge queen had found out about new regalia and roads. She'd found a package in her mailbox that had many documents, folders, pictures, etc about the new link roads. Within contained a diary of the last pledge queen. Luna was amazed and quickly read up on everything. Apparently the last ring road user had created new regalia to strengthen the current ones. There were only eight left of the original and these new ones would make them perfect. Alas, the old pledge queen had been afraid of the destruction these new regalia and roads could do and hid them away wih her loyal followers.

Luna was amazed by all of this and wanted to find the regalia. They still existed probably within the families of those tuners that were loyal to the last queen. Luna knew she was a strong queen and knew that the regalia couldn't be hidden forever. She had wondered who all this information was from. There was no return address. Despite this Luna had read up on the most recent document. It was about a young woman who rode a different road than all riders. This road was similar to the bloody road but had enough changes that Luna knew it was one of the link roads.

This is what led her to come to this quaint cafe. The new user was female and despite not knowin her identity there was a picture in the information Luna was sent. He pledge queen then began to pull favors from some old friends and exes. She was able to get her hands on some information from other riders. The new user had been sited at this cafe. It had taken Luna's ... "friends" a week to track the woman down. It wasn't extremely difficult though. The woman rode her Air treks quite a bit so she had gathered some attention.

The blonde stepped into the cafe that she had finally reached. She wore a blue tank top that showed off her cleavage, short jean shorts, and black DC's. She had her hair down which fell below her rear. The woman smirked at her target who was at the counter, however she sat down in a seat and feigned ignorance of knowing the other woman. She looked down at the cute menu and waited for her server to arrive. There was a good looking man at the table across from her. Luna licked her lips and winked at him before looking back down at the menu.

As Ophelia took a sip from the cup in her hands a female walked into the café, her eyes seemingly curious with a hint of something else in their hues that could not be identified right away. The woman seemed so out of place in the quiet little café especially with her attire but Ophelia knew that San Francisco was painted with all sorts of unique people, her being one of them with her crimson orbs that were matched with a blood red tank top. Still she could not help but stare at the woman curiously and watch her sit down before pick up a menu and winking at one of the male customers that was drinking his own beverage. The action of the older woman made the petite female perched at the counter want to scoff simply because it seemed like a ridiculous show but she kept silent despite how much her personality screamed out to throw some sort of snide comment out into the air; she was just one of those people that wanted to speak out bluntly but when at work she was always perfect and curious even though it was the opposite of her usual aura.

With a small sigh she reached up and adjusted her hair tie that kept her pale locks from tumbling down all around her face, then moving to take her ear bud out from her ear and tuck it back into her black apron before she moved down to the ground once more. Her steps were silent and calm as she gracefully walked over to the female across the room, a small smile painting Ophelia’s lips as she peered down at her and let a calm aura over take her very being.

”Good afternoon, miss. What can I get you?”

A sweet bell like voice came from to pass her pale lips as she stood there, her hands dusting off her obsidian pleated skirt before she reached into the matching apron to retrieve a pad of paper and a pen in order to write down her order.

”Good afternoon, miss. What can I get you?”

Luna had to tread lightly with this girl. She couldn't scare her away. She needed her for both her information and her road. "I'd like some tea and a small piece of chocolate cake please," Luna told her with a smile.

She looked her server up and down. She was quite pretty, prettier than her photo. Her eyes were red too, that was unusual. Luna began her plan. She pulled her cell phone out and put it on the table as she looked at the headlines for AT's. She'd put it on the table on purpose so that the other girl could see. This would allow for Luna to bring AT's up in a conversation, or so she hoped.

When her server returned Luna would then say, "Jeesh, why does everyone hate AT's so much?" She'd say it more to herself but her server wouldn't have to know that. This was all a part of Luna's plan.

Silently Ophelia jotted down the female’s order, something simple which she had actually expected out of her since only the regulars knew of all the exotic blends that existed in the back. With a curt turn she spun on her heel and gracefully made her way over to the counter on the other side of the room and began preparing the order. Of course it was not that hard for her, simply making a fresh cup of tea for the woman who was probably flirting with the poor man who was trying to get some work done before moving to get a piece of chocolate cake and placing it on a dainty plate that the shop keeper favored. Ophelia was wasting her time though, purposely taking a little longer than usual since she did not care how fast she served the woman who was sitting across the room. It was only when she noticed that the cup of tea was starting to cool off did she walk back over to the table, placing both on the table and pulling a fork and some napkins from her apron setting them with the items as well.

Before she could walk away though something caught Ophelia’s eye, an article that had been pulled up by the female and lazily thrown onto the table. It was as if she was trying to scream out that she knew all about Air Treks, an act that made the petite woman raise her eye brows out of curiosity; either this woman had connections or her boyfriend had screwed what little brains she had left out of her. The lather of the two options was tempting to chose since it may had well been true and that thought brought a faint smirk to her lips, but Ophelia decided to simply play along with this little game that had been started.

Her voice was kept quiet in a whisper as she looked down at the other blonde woman, faking concern for a moment as she let the words slip her lips.

”It is simply because all of teens today running about and getting hurt.”

By some miricae she had laced some sort of concern into her voice, a feat that was not easy to say the least. However the second set of words that she uttered held none of that, perhaps even a light tone of irritation.

”Either that or the idiot riders are giving everyone else a bad name.”

Luna tapped her table impatiently. The server was taking forever. Was she just lazy or did she not like Luna? Damn, she'd thought she'd made a cool appearance. Didn't most girls like cool girls? Luna sighed, she was never good at making friends with the same sex, maybe because she'd gotten along so well with the boys. It had started in junior high when Luna had grown her chest faster than the rest of the girls her age. She'd also made friends with the hottest guys in school, Zeke and Rohas. After that, Luna hadn't made too many girl friends, and none stuck around for very long.

Well, Luna wouldn't let the girl walk all over her. She wasn't really the type to suck up, she could stay calm for a bit, but if the girl pushed her buttons Luna would flip her lid. 'Please just be lazy, please just be lazy, please just be lazy,' Luna hoped. Though, realistically, someone who had mastered a road would be far from lazy. This girl was obviously trying her patience.

When she placed Luna's order in front of her, the Pledge Queen noticed there was no steam coming from her tea. She gently placed her hand on the side of the cup and noticed it was lukewarm. Obviously not something she'd drink. Luna bit her cheek to prevent her from saying anything. Her big mouth could cost her the fish, Luna had to think of the prize.

As Luna watched the girl for a reaction to the article she saw the girl smirk. Luna almost flipped her lid, did she know the water wasn't hot? Did she know that Luna now knew this? What a bitch! This was why Luna never got along with other girls! They were catty! The nerve, if this continued there would be a huge cat fight!

”Either that or the idiot riders are giving everyone else a bad name.” The Rider of the Ring Road paused. Was that anger she sensed in her voice? So the girl did care about AT's. At least they had one thing in common. Luna wasn't ready to continue the game of slowly letting the hook and bait lead the fish in. No, she was just going to jerk it impatiently.

"You mean those riders of the roads? I'd heard of those ones, there was one I heard about a few weeks ago... My buddy said she rode on this road called the carving road. He said she tore people up and gave riders a bad name," Luna told the girl trying to keep calm and keep the lie from showing. She tried to keep the appearance of just some girl that wanted to chat. Hopefully this queen would buy it.

Luna had no idea how she'd get the other rider to tell her, her secrets. Maybe she'd have to piss her off so bad that they'd race? The winner would take home information. Or... perhaps she could just make friends and get the info that way? Yeah, she doubted that, seeing as how this girl acted. She doubted they'd be friends at all the way this was going.

Ophelia could not help but smirk lightly at the female’s reactions, each one giving away just a little more about herself that she probably did not want the other girl to know. It was clear that she was irritated with the fact that the tea was not steaming hot and the little movements of her cheeks gave away that she was biting back some sort of snide comment. That devious part of Ophelia wanted to push that nerve that she had hit a little more to see what kind of reaction she could get, but that would not have been wise considering she was suppose to be a professional when at her job. Unhappily she quickly threw all the thoughts of the little things she could do to piss her off out the window and simply focused on letting a small smile pass to her lips as she waited for her to make some sort of comment that she knew was to come.

The second the other woman opened her mouth though Ophelia wished that she had accidentally thrown the cup of tea on her lap, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly before returning to normal. The Queen had to keep calm and not start a scene but the idea of someone accusing her of giving Storm-Riders a bad name made her see red. She was sure that if looks could kill the hidden glint laced into her eyes would have sent the female to a faraway place where she could bleed to death after being ripped to shreds.

Now she was glad that she had not tried to make many friends, the idea of having to deal with so many people and their sultry remarks or snide comments disgusting her. She usually would talk to a person for a few hours or so before continuing on with her life, never seeing them again unless they came into the café regularly. Maybe it was a good thing that she did her best to avoid human contact outside of work; after all, when your personality is that of a demoness nobody wants to stick around to be your friend.

With a look of indifference on her face Ophelia let her weight shift from her whole body to strictly her right foot, one hand tucking inside her apron and the other hanging loosely at her side. Her crimson orbs remained locked on the other woman though, continuing to evaluate her as she prepared her next remark carefully. It slipped past her pale lips with a tone of not caring, it coming across as though it were a simple remark with no meaning behind it at all.

”Well those who give Storm-Riders bad names come in two forms. You have those who give them bad names by being bad riders and those who give them bad names by spreading nasty little rumors. I mean I’ve heard quite a few juicy details about queens and kings as well that would make them out to be some of the lowliest people ever, but you do not see me prancing about spreading their life story.”

She did not want to give away that she was upset by the comment but at the same time she wanted to see whether or not the other woman had a reaction to other queens being called lowly things. If she did than it would give her a clear direction of what button to push next, a game she often enjoyed playing. So far she had only found one person who she could play her little game with and not get cussed out, but she doubted the female knew anything of the emerald eyed man.

Luna flinched and her face turned a slight red. Not only was this girl calling her out for spreading rumors, like some sort of cliche clique girl, but she was also insulting her as a queen! The nerve! She was tempted to start spewing off how she could totally kick this girls' ass seeing as how Luna had probably been a queen longer than this woman had. Though, that would probably get them both in trouble by the police, seeing as how they were in public.

Luna needed to calm down. This girl didn't have any clue that she was a queen. She hadn't been insulting her directly at least. She needed to keep herself calm and cool or else she'd lose everything she had worked for. Once her face color returned to normal Luna stood up. Her eyes were closed. When she opened the blue orbs she then turned back to the other woman. "What's your name?" she asked calmly.

The Pledge Queen would wait for a reply before continuing. She'd get close to the other blonde and whisper in her ear. "Look, I know who you are and as a fellow queen we need to talk. The games are fun and all but I'd rather wait till you got off work before we started clawing each others eyes out. It's easy to see we're both pushing buttons, miss bloody queen."

The sight of the female’s face lighting up a bright red color was rather entertaining in Ophelia’s opinion, a small smirk beginning to form across her pale lips as she relished in the moment of pushing her buttons just the right way. There was anger radiating off of the other woman in such intense waves that the younger blonde was sure that she was going to storm off in a heated flurry and the fact that she stayed and simply allowed the vermillion color to drain to her face only brought sever disappointment to her. Silently Ophelia listened to her request for a name, the thought bouncing back and forth in her mind as she wondered just whether or not she should give it to her. If she did not the woman might have just hung around a little more and that was something that she wanted to avoid at all costs. With a soft sigh escaping her lips she let a response pass her tongue.

”Ophelia.”

There was no bothering with a last name, only giving her first as she watched for any reaction that would paint the other female’s face. However she did not get what she wanted and instead found the female was growing closer to her, readying to tell her something else. What she had to say to her was interesting to say the least, Ophelia wondering just what kind of queen this woman was for her to have such an extensive knowledge. If she knew that she was a queen, let alone the Blood Queen, then there was something more going on here than she knew and that brought slight worry to her chest. She gave none of that away though, letting her eyes dance across the woman’s figure before she too began to speak.

”Well then little miss know it all, I will see you at nine then when the sun has set and I close up this little store. Make sure you bring someone to clean up your blood after.”

Now she was smirking, her eyes flickering over her face once more before she turned to go sit back at the counter without even bothering to take any money from the other queen. If she wanted to pay she could but at that point Ophelia could have cared less, simply perching herself atop a stool as she looked at all of the silent customers in the nearly empty café.

Luna tried to hide a smirk. They were going to meet up and she'd be able to get the information she needed. It didn't matter if they ended up fighting each other. Luna would possibly lose due to the Blood Queen excelling in combat. The Pledge Queen normally wasn't the fighting type. Though, Luna probably did have more experience than Ophelia did. The battle would be close that was for sure.

The blonde decided that fighting probably wouldn't help so she would save that as a last resort. For now she decided to place her money on the table, seeing as how the other blonde was done with her. She'd rather not try Ophelia's patience at the moment so Luna stood up, placed her money on the table, and walked away as she winked at the man she'd flirted with earlier that day.

As Luna walked out, most likely with the man she'd flirted with trailing behind her, she thought about how this would turn out. She hoped she'd get the information she needed so she could give it to her team leader. Rohas would love this information and would possibly help them to getting to their goal.
~~~
Later that night Luna was riding her AT's. She had jumped from building to building to finally land on top of the store. Her shadow loomed behind her. The woman awaited Ophelia like a cat waiting for her prey. She stood silently with the wind blowing through her hair. She closed her eyes and used her other senses that were much stronger to tell if anyone would come up behind her. She did this to make sure that Ophelia couldn't pull a sneak attack on her, she didn't trust the other woman and didn't know what to expect of her. It was better to be safe than sorry.
Silently Ophelia watched the other woman toss some money on the table before swaying out of the store, her hips dancing provocatively as the man she had been toying with followed her like a lost little puppy. The image that she saw disgusted her personally and she would have loved to throw something at his head to snap him back into place, but that would have been far too rude. Instead the female simply slipped the money off the table and began walking back to the register to put it away, her mind lost in the thoughts of what would happen later. It was clear that the little meeting between her and the other woman would be quite interesting, it was just a matter how who would get hurt that was left in the air.
-----
It was late in the night when Ophelia was finally released from work, all the customers long gone and the quaint little café dusted and cleaned up for the next day’s work. Silently she flicked the lights to the shop off, the world turning black as she went into the back room to change her shoes. In her locker she had stashed her Air Treks away with two locks attached to keep people out, something that she knew was wise. Now it was time to have fun though, her slipping the sleek black metal onto her feet and dusting off her crimson splatters from the material before grabbing what she would need for the night and slipping out the back door.
Once the perfect white door was locked and the silver key tucked away in Ophelia’s leather jacket she began her ascent up to the roof of the building, her eyes dancing with mischief as she figured she might as well get up to higher ground to see just where the new female would be lurking. Her wheels were nearly silent as she ascended to the roof, her Air Treks only making a near silent thud as she peered about. Much to her surprise the other woman was already there, her senses perked as she awaited Ophelia’s arrival. That was something she did not expect, but at the same time she figured the woman would do something like that. Figuring it was best not to put things off too long though Ophelia began riding up to the older female, her body silent except for the words that slipped her lips slowly.
”Well if it isn’t Miss-Know-It-All. I am glad that you decided not to run and hide.”
Well if it isn’t Miss-Know-It-All. I am glad that you decided not to run and hide.” Luna's demeanor had changed after she put the AT's on. Her body was more tense as she was more serious, sure when she was in a normal battle or with someone who wasn't a threat, Luna was playful, seductive, and graceful with her AT's. This was a different matter, the Pledge Queen was dealing with another queen. She had no idea what this person could do other than what she had received in the mail about the link roads. Though seeing the things this woman could do in real life and reading something on a scrap of paper were entirely different.
Luna turned towards Ophelia and opened one eye lazily. Her body may have been tense and ready for any kind of attack but she could still act like she was relaxed. "Now, now, running and hiding isn't my thing. I seek and lure," she said with a smirk. Before the woman could say anything else she continued, "After all, how could I hunt down those delicious men and bring them home with me?" she asked playfully, knowing that comment would most likely piss the other woman off.
The Pledge Queen couldn't help but eye the woman's AT's. They were black and flecked with what looked like blood, though most likely it was just paint. Most blood would have turned brown and could possibly ruin the AT's she rode. Ophelia's AT's were nice but they weren't anything a queen should be riding. At least in Luna's opinion. All of Luna's parts on her Air Treks were custom made, by herself of course. Everything had been finely tuned to the best of her abilities. She doubted the Blood Queen even had a tuner. They were rare, not many knew how to tune Air Treks just right.
For a moment Luna wanted to just tune the other woman's treks. God if I could just tune them to help with her dexterity, stamina, and strength she'd be unstoppable... she then mentally shook herself. Now was not the time to get wet in her panties over creating something for a fellow Queen. This person was possibly an enemy and could get in her way if she allowed her. She needed to stay on guard.
Her own At's were a dark blue and black, with silver around the metal edges. They had a sharp look about them, anyone that came near her legs could be cut deeply. The sharp edges were made more for defense, seeing as how Luna was based more on speed than anything. She needed SOME kind of defense. She'd used stripped sheets of carbon fiber for the black on her AT's, to increase her speed and the durability of the AT's. This was normally found on race cars to help with their speed. The blue was the lightweight material that was also water proof so her feet wouldn't get wet and the valuable parts inside wouldn't get ruined. The silver was of course the blades.
Spoiler:
(Note: replace the red with blue, the orange and green with black, and the yellow with silver.)
Luna began to glide towards the other female. Her other eye opened as well as she grew serious once again. ["Okay, bitch tits, let's get down to business. I want to know where you learned about your road. Who showed you how to ride, where you got your AT's, and what your plans are for your road," she said simply. She tapped her chin before adding one more thing. "Also, it'd help to know where your regalia is too."
Ophelia Hawthorne
The crimson orbs of the younger female stayed locked on the older one that stood across from her, analyzing ever single movement of her body and noting her actions with care. One thing was for sure simply by her body language and that was that the woman was quite literally a walking contradiction; her body read one way yet her emotions another and this conflict between the two irritated Ophelia. She had always hated not being able to tell what was going on in the mind of her prey, but she figured that soon enough her actions would become clear like it did with everyone. It was only a matter of pressing buttons and seeing what pissed her off, an object that was clearly an easy task to accomplish based upon what had happened earlier in the day.
The words that drifted to her ears from the mouth of the woman brought a smirk to the her lips at first, but the second the statement about hunting down men forced it to slip from her lips as she fell back into a look of indifference. It was obvious that this woman truly was no different than Ophelia thought her to be, only toying with men like they were objects instead of people. It made a feeling of disgust slip through her body as she shook resisted the urge to shake her head in disapproval, wondering just how anyone could do that with people if they valued their own body.
As much as Ophelia would have enjoyed throwing the other woman off the top of the building and watching her hit the ground with a rough crack, she knew it best to keep silent and let her speak about whatever she had called her up there for. After all, not many knew of the Blood Queen and her abilities, so someone who could pick her up on the spot in the middle of her job was someone who Ophelia not only wanted to hear from but also wanted to keep tabs on. For all she knew this woman had ties to people that would lead her to someone she needed to get a hold and if that little connection was true then it would be worth not spilling her blood all over the pavement in the bright moon light.
As the woman across from her began sizing her up, Ophelia did the same since the opportunity was just right. The vision of the two woman sizing each other up was entertaining actually, something that under any other circumstances would have brought a laugh to the tip of her tongue, but in this case she held her serious and demoness like air. The appearance of the woman had been mulled over all day, but her Air Treks were a beautiful new touch that Ophelia had not yet had the pleasure of pulling apart and discovering. Silently her bright red hues scanned over the pieces of art, noting that they had intricate sharp edges all across the sides of them. It was clear by their design that they were built for defense, raising the question of why she would need defense if she was a Storm-Rider. That little question made a thousand other begin to bubble inside Ophelia’s mind, but not a single one slipped her lips as she stood her ground hard and waited for the next move.
The wind began to blow all around Ophelia, forcing the air to nip at her exposed skin on her legs as she shifted her weight from her left foot to her right foot casually. The motion forced her Air Treks to make a small clicking noise against the gravel, the massive scars that dug into her porcelain skin rubbing together for only a moment as well. As she listened to the words that were spoken to her she was not surprised by her bluntness and will to insult her, this encouraging her to even start the badgering game as well. There was only open question that was not asked, the question about her massive scars that danced from her ankles to her knees like ribbons; that question would most likely come in time though. For now she simply let a smirk come to her pale lips as a few of her bright locks swayed in the wind, shading the dark lashes that peered into the crystal blue orbs in front of her as she spoke.
“Well, I do not see why I should respond to you at all if you are not going to ask nicely, but I am in a giving mood so I will let you in on a little secret.”
Her bell like words began to spill from her tongue in an intricate little design, a hint of something more hidden behind the letters that she knew Luna could pick out. She was acting as though the other woman were a child, taunting her even as she spoke in a condescending tone.
“I was taught how to ride by an old friend after he helped me to buy my Air Treks, but the story of my road and regalia are something a little more complex than that. He gave me my regalia when he took off, leaving me a note explaining everything after me made sure that I had started developing my road. The scars over her body were quite a sight. She wondered if she'd been abused, lost many fights with other storm riders, or even if it was self inflicted. Luna needed to concentrate though, she almost felt bad for the other woman, she'd hate to have that kind of scarring over her own body.
When the Blood Queen spoke it was as if she were talking to Luna as if she were a child. It was annoying but she'd heard a lot of trash talk in her days of battling other teams, some that was laughable and some that had hurt her. She remembered one battle in particular where she'd gotten so riled up that she had attacked the other rider first without thinking. Rohas had to come to her rescue and they'd almost lost the match. Never again would Luna be so hot headed and she sure as hell wouldn't let the Blood Queen get to her and make her attack first. The woman in front of her was a like a cobra waiting to strike. Luna wouldn't make a wrong move and have those fangs sink into her neck.
“I was taught how to ride by an old friend after he helped me to buy my Air Treks, but the story of my road and regalia are something a little more complex than that. He gave me my regalia when he took off, leaving me a note explaining everything after me made sure that I had started developing my road. Now, sweetheart, before you start going off on a little rant I will tell you something; I have no clue where he is, so do not bother interrogating me for that piece of information. Now in concerns to my road I plan on doing whatever the hell pleases me with it and nothing you say or do is going to sway my decision.”
Despite her talk Ophelia had given her most of the information she needed. "I need a name..." she told her in all seriousness. The grudge against the blood queen forgotten. She wasn't important right now. This man... had given her a regalia, meaning he could know where the wind regalia is. This girl would be easy enough to track now that Luna had her name and knew where she worked. Her friend in the police department also had his own friends. She'd be able to keep track of this girl if she stayed within the country.
Luna's eyes were distant for a moment before she forced herself to continue watching the blood queen. She needed to get that information, his name... she needed it more than anything. She was no longer Luna... She was the Pledge Queen. Only thinking of Regalia and AT's, Ophelia was a queen herself and now deserved her respect. This change in personality was rare, only happening when she was tuning or discussing the Wind Regalia with Rohas. It was as if she had another personality tucked within her. "You may do with your road as you please, just don't get caught by the government... you do realize they know a new queen is our there? The reason why i was able to track you down was because i was able to hack into a government computer and gather this information about you with a picture of as well. Of course I deleted the picture and quickly had my partner quickly put some misinformation into the profile. If you're careful they won't be able to track you down. You can thank me by giving me his name."
Luna's blue orbs were now ice cold as she watched the other woman carefully. "I only want to know the whereabouts of the regalia and Kings. You can do whatever you wish with your own regalia and your life, your very existence helps me with my research." The woman smirked slightly. She was completely opposite of the woman Ophelia knew just a moment ago and she was sure she'd confuse her. Despite her playful nature, Luna could get serious, it didn't happen often, but when it did she surprised even Rohas. If she were in a battle at this very moment, she was sure she would win. She felt that nothing could stop her when she was completely serious.
Ophelia Hawthorne
The eyes of the once playful and scandalous woman now help nothing but seriousness, an emotion that Ophelia had not expected to come out from this obviously teasing female. She had thought that if they were about to fight one another that emotion might show for a second or two, but never on this magnitude for something so trivial as information. It made her curious as to whether or not the other female had pure intentions in concerns with learning more about her regalia and what her intentions for the future were, but the first words that slipped her lips in the demand for a name made all thoughts of perhaps feeding her a bit more knowledge vanish into thin air.
A name; was she serious? Sure Ophelia was angry with her friend for abandoning her with an item as dangerous as the Blood Regalia, but she would never give his name up to some petty woman with unknown intentions; if this girl thought she was going to get even an inch out of her in that department she was sadly mistaken. Her crimson gaze began to glaze over into a dark ruby of shadowed emotions, holding the light blue one in front of her for a short time as she tried to collect herself. In that instant the female continued to speak though uttering words that were obviously bubbling up within her throat in a desperate attempt to further sway the woman who held all the cards in this devious plot.
As if the situation had not angered Ophelia enough, Luna decided to add a little more spice to the already explosive situations. Words formed accusations that spelt out situations of Ophelia being a careless child, none of which could be confirmed in any way without her doing something completely irrational and stupid. It was obviously a ploy to get her to spill the name even further, the name that was growing more precious with each ticking moment. Still, Ophelia would not budge. Her stance reflected that very emotion as she kept her arms folded tightly across her chest, her eyes scanning the woman up and down as she let her go on the little icy rant that was doing nothing but sending her demoness into a fitful rage. Not even the supposed words of confirmation that her road would be left alone would settle her restless soul.
”Well here is the thing; I’m not giving you anything at all. You can throw out little scraps of information that say that the government had held my name and that you had adjusted this, but that does not prove anything nor act as sufficient ground for me to give you what you want. The name is strictly confidential and I refused to give it to you, simple as that.”
Her words held a subtle undertone that spelled out defiance, her unseeing eyes also giving this off as she watched the reaction Luna might give away. However, instead of waiting for a further reaction she continued, throwing a blow to the woman’s morals using information Ophelia had collected through subtle words and body movements in the time that she had seen her.
”That, darling, is called respect for those you care about. You don’t scamper around and give up anything the other person wants if they offer you what appears to be a fabulous treat.”
The Blood Queen refused to give Luna the information she needed. Luna wasn't sure what to do next. Should she try beating it out of her? She doubted a friendship would help anything. Hell she doubted she could create a friendship with a woman like this. There wasn't anything she could win except respect from this woman. Would she give up the information if Luna somehow proved herself?
Luna sighed before rubbing her temples. "Ya know, I really need that damned name... guess Paradise and the Sky are going to have to wait a bit..." Luna said as she quickly kicked a half broken brick towards Ophelia. As the brick headed towards the other woman Luna rushed towards her with the speed of an A rank. Luna was weak in most categories but speed was her forte. Once Luna was close enough she reached out to punch the Blood Queen in the gut.
Luna was positive that that half broken brick would make Ophelia try to dodge. No person would want it to actually hit them. With Luna's speed and quick reflexes she'd be able to get close enough to touch Ophelia's skin. Ophelia might escape with a scratch but testing the waters was mainly what her moves right now were all about. The Pledge Queen would be sure to watch Ophelia's movements so she could dodge in case the other female threw a punch or kick at herself. Luna wouldn't take any chances.
The woman spoke as she moved, "Paradise is more important than both of us right now... and I need this link regalia information before it can be opened... If I have to beat this information out of you, so be it!" The punch was aimed at the right side of her chest, just above her breast. Luna wasn't aiming for her heart, even though the Pledge Queen didn't have much muscle, as a tuner she knew the human body rather well and knew that if she punched the rib cage above and near the heart she could damage the other riders body. Ophelia may be a bitch and Luna may have not liked her much but she wasn't interested in possibly ruining her chance to ride or putting her in the hospital. The kings and queens were keys to opening up the sky, Luna couldn't and WOULD NOT allow one to be damaged. Plus, as the Pledge Queen, she would rather build than destroy.
Silently Ophelia waited for the woman’s next move, knowing well that she would be upset at the very least for not getting what she wanted. She half expected a scream of frustration or some sort of blunt attack mixed with a demand for the information, but instead all she got were a few muttered words about Paradise and the sky. Paradise, now that was a joke to say the least. Paradise had been locked away for quite a while and personally she did not care whether or not the wretched place would open once more. Sure it would give Storm-Riders a safe haven, but it would not keep them shielded forever if they were idiots. The second remark about the sky received the same reaction from her simply because she knew well that each Storm-Rider would be able to unlock their sky if they tried hard enough.
Suddenly the whole air between the two took a dramatic shift, Luna kicking a brick at Ophelia in the attack that she had anticipated earlier. Silently she moved a few inches to the right to dodge the brick and in the same instant the elder female rushed at her with speed that Ophelia would have no chance against. The woman was able to hit the mark against her stomach where it intended, forcing a small hiss out of the Blood Queen. Her eyes sparkled with sadistic intentions as she only let her body crumple forward in the slightest and her ears take in the information that was uttered to her about Paradise being more important than both of them put together. Was she daft? She must had been to try and literally beat the information about the Link-Regalia from her lips.
Next came the mark to her right side of her chest, one that should have made her stumble back two steps at least but instead forced an unseen reaction out of her. She reached up and grabbed the wrist with her left hand, digging her sharp little nails into the soft flesh hard enough to draw droplets of blood. Her voice was dripping with venom as she locked eyes with the woman across from her, drinking in any information that was offered to her.
”You are wrong if you think that Paradise is the most important thing in this world. It is the essence of the Storm-Rider and their true compassion that is most important, not your petty little hide out.”
She then threw the woman away from her body, forcing her away from her at least ten feet if her movements had served her right. Of course it did not matter to her exactly how far away the other rider went because she changed her body to the correct attack as soon as the flesh left her own. Ophelia charged towards Luna, letting herself get only inches away from her right side before she began to spin. Her right foot moved to slash across the woman’s lower back in a kick that she had woven into the spin, her sharp wheels threatening to do the job that Ophelia found most useful. If the mark hit then the woman’s flesh perfectly then it would be ripped into and blood would come from the wound. If it only hit it slightly than it would at the very least shred the back of her shirt and scare her.
”You are wrong if you think that Paradise is the most important thing in this world. It is the essence of the Storm-Rider and their true compassion that is most important, not your petty little hide out.”
Luna growled as her hand was caught in the woman's grip. "I never said it was the most important thing in the world. Just more important than the two of us, especially if we are arguing. The storm riders need a safe haven and you're being selfish denying them of it! All I need is one scrap of information so that I can be on my way!"
Luna was roughly pushed away from the other rider. As this happened the Pledge Queen began her next move. She reached into her left AT to grab a small screwdriver from it. Her eyes on the other queen and she would try not to take them off of her. As Ophelia began to rush towards her Luna had the screwdriver in her hand. The woman began to aim a kick towards her back and Luna wouldn't have enough time to dodge completely. She was quick but she would have had a hard time dodging the way she wanted as she was flying backwards.
Luna however was fast enough to move slightly so the AT only nicked her back and left a small cut along it. The woman winced but had turned with the blow so that she could unscrew a screw on the AT that Ophelia had in the air where she had kicked at Luna. The attack had left Ophelia open long enough for Luna to use her speed to undo a screw on that leg. The Pledge Queen undid a screw on the back wheel. One that was very important to a rider. The right screw on the back wheel was one of two screws that would keep that wheel on that AT. Without it the wheel wouldn't be able to hold much weight and the other screw would bend and after a few moments would probably break with the weight of the human that put weight on it. Meaning, after Ophelia put weight on that leg it would be all over and she'd be missing a back wheel.
It only took Luna a moment to do this. She was a tuner and unscrewed bolts all day, every day. She could unscrew a simple bolt in record time, why should this be any different? Ophelia's leg was in the air and she would be unbalanced and wouldn't be able to pull it back to the ground fast.
Once Luna would unscrew the bolt she would duck down low and aim a kick to Ophelia's legs, hoping to unbalance her more. The Pledge Queen knew that Ophelia's legs were trouble so she wouldn't wait to see if she had struck Ophelia or not. She'd back away to give the two of them space after she aimed her kick.
